it's more than just sweating/perspiring

you have a shower or go for a swim & it's impossible to dry off

my hair turns frizzy

my joints ache

everything just feels damp

clothes don't dry on the line unless in direct sun

There is a small probability of rain in the south over the next few days and early next week. It could be quite heavy on the east coast.

I think the forecast of rain shown on that web site is generated by the weather station based on pressure trends. My weather station does the same.

That's a pretty inaccurate method down here - it works much better in the UK.

August 15th is a fiesta day and my friends birthday. Strange but almost every year the weather is not as good that day. Either the first rain of the summer or high winds etc. Every year she has a party and everyone drifts inside by about 10pm because of the weather

At last. It's overcast and dull, with fast moving rain clouds and the diabolical sweating has stopped for the first time in weeks. At least for a few hours this morning.

We must have had Sahara rain overnight because my blue car has turned brown and the pool needs hoovering. A small price to pay for some temporary relief from the searing heat.

I don't suppose it will last.

Dont know about heatwave, but we just had the worst storm that I can remember for a while. Was supposed to be having a couple off the forum for lunch but they rang before hand to say the road was flooded up to the pavement level at their house!

Its 22 degrees in my studio which is usually the hottest room in my house and yesterday it was 35 degrees at this time. Sheer heaven and this morning a little rain and cloud so I was the only person in the village pool which was like a warm bath. We are supposed to have heavy showers later so I'm not watering my patio. I hope we have a week of this.

So glad I'm not over there, the heat is ok for a while but incessant heat is too much. I prefer the climate in England, when it rains I use a brolly when it's cold I put on warm clothing, when it's hot I wear less - in Spain, in the heat, you can only decently remove so much clothing and then can't cool down any more. I don't envy you the heat and certainly not the thunderstorms.

It has rained here, yayyyyyy.

Got up this morning and not only is it cooler but the air smells clean and fresh.

Only being here a few months and trying to cope with the heat it has made me appreciate the rain a little more, although it feels like the humidity has gone through the roof I will take that. The mist is clinging to to the mountains and hopefully it will be a few more hours before the sun breaks through.

Bet we now get an increase in mozzies again ah well out with the plug-in's again. It is worth it

Keep slices of a lemon in your fridge, works a treat to soothe any bites
