Ooh yes Rosemary!

Our village patrona's fiesta is on 22nd May, so it won't be long now.
It's a religious affair in the morning, but then there's plenty of socialising and dancing into the early hours
Last year, I had to come indoors at 2am to get my fleece, as it was getting a bit chilly!
I'm really looking forward to it this year, as we know so many people now - whereas last year we'd not been here all that long.

There's no doubt that Spanish people know how to celebrate!

Luv Eve

Hi Eve,

At the moment we live right on the Plaza in a rented house.
It's a great situation to be able to watch events like this from, but boy is it noisy at fiesta times and during August!
In fact, you can see part of our current house in the 3rd photo. Just behind the two men in the background, you can see our front door; and above their heads is one of our lounge balconies.

We have bought a piece of land in the village, and are about to embark on having a house built.
The plot is down a lane which leads out into the campo, and yet it's only a 2 minute stroll to the Plaza.
We won't have any permanent neighbours; one couple just comes at weekends, and the other two families only come for fiestas and the summer holidays. Apart from that, there aren't any other houses immediately around us.
We feel we've got the best of all worlds; peace and quiet from the busy Plaza, yet proximity to the heart of the village and all our friends
(Plus we've got fab views of our sierra!)

PS Have sent you a PM too.
