Re: Gibraltar
it is only the corrupt Government in Madrid that seems to find it fun in making everyone involved in Gib to be a Cerberus. And even the Spanish know that was a Greek and Roman myth.
Obviously the Romans left one here when they left Iberia with all the gold and it sits in the Hacienda

A little bird told me that Italian banks are not giving loans because they are getting 9% by putting their loot into Indian banks with Gov guarantees.

I'm a Nigerian and do a lot of work on ebay collecting money and I find your comment offensive, now if you could send me €5000 in pre tax payment I'll send you €1million in return and we'll forget the whole thing.

Re: Gibraltar
Maltese cross then ?
Sorry about that, couldn't resist.
.....anyway, come to think of it maybe they should be, with a population many times greater than Gib and many more years experience at international level.
Well done Gib.

At the meeting of the UKGTA, Gibraltar hotels, UK based tour operators and airlines have all reported growth on growth in terms of visitor numbers to the Rock over the past year.
Additionally, the figures for air arrivals to Gibraltar from UK in the first quarter of 2014 have been described by the UKGTA as “very encouraging” at approximately 20% up in respect of the same period last year
All despite Spains best efforts at the frontier

Re: Gibraltar
One for Fred B.
I posted a letter to Gib from Valencia three weeks back and yesterday asked them if they'd received it ok.
The lady seemed to think I was joking and said allow at least six weeks in total as they hold them in Madrid for two or three of weeks and much the same after they eventually move them on to Marbella.
I can only presume they're playing silly buggers with the post same as the border, unless of course they still use Donkey Express down that way, which wouldn't greatly surprise me either.
Is that the norm for a letter from Spain to Gib, Fred ?
Also what's the norm for a letter from the UK to Gib ?
