People come on you have to look at it from EMR's pov.
In his mind he is saying to himself "The fact is I have an opinion ,so my opinion must be a fact!"
That's how he can add 2 plus 2 and get a banana.

La Linea marks 145th anniversary with call for good relations
La Linea’s deputy mayor, Helenio Lucas Fernández, called for close cooperation with Gibraltar and the Campo de Gibraltar during a speech this week to mark the 145th anniversary of the city’s founding.
Sr Lucas, a councillor with the fledgling La Linea 100x100 party, said La Linea should not be seen as “a bargaining chip†that Spanish foreign policy could use “at our expenseâ€.
“If they don’t provide the means, if they don’t open the doors, if they continue to deny us a symbiosis, a relationship of mutual assistance and backing with our neighbours…then they will again make matters difficult for us and we will have no option but to switch from a friendly smile to the teeth of a doberman,†he said during an address at a special council meeting.
“To expect us not to have good relations with our surroundings in general, and with those on the other side of the border in particular, is to deny our history, our origins.â€

Something only becomes a fact when it has happened. or is happening.
Until then it is a guess, an opinion an estimate etc etc but not a fact.
There is only one fact that contradicts this.
If you survive birth then at some point in the future you will die.

A former First Sea Lord said the Royal Navy needs “larger vessels†to discourage Spain’s “appalling†behaviour in British Gibraltar territorial waters. Lord West of Spithead told The Times that he had been “concerned for some time†about the situation in Gibraltar.

Bring them back from the worlds hot spots to keep out a few fisherman and the " battleships " of the Spanish navy.

Pedestrian queues at the border on Thursday evening were the worst yet this summer as Spanish border authorities have begun testing the new passport e-gates during peak queueing times
The new electronic gates are part of Spain’s commitment to reduce queues following the European Commission’s recommendations last year. Pedestrians are requested to scan EU compliant electronic passports or ID cards, their fingerprints, and use face recognition technology

Boys, boys, boys! This is meant to be an informative thread, but it's being spoiled by way too much backbiting and you-did-no-you-did-no-you-did and I-must-have-the-last-word childishness. Could we please give that nonsense a miss and concentrate on the theme of the thread? Thanks, all who will do that.

Do all Spaniards have e docs?

Not sure about the Spanish ID cards.
Gibraltar is in the process of replacing all ID cards with e ones, FREE OF CHARGE.
I had my photo redone a couple of weeks ago and am now awaiting the new card

Rock defence is the ‘direct responsibility’of the British Government
The Gibraltar Government yesterday denied it would be willing to carry the cost of larger Royal Navy vessels for the protection of British Gibraltar territorial waters. The Government was reacting to an interview by Lord West, a former First Sea Lord, who claimed on Forces TV yesterday, that the Gibraltar Government would be willing to pay in order to replace the current two small craft with “something largerâ€. But the government categorically rejected this suggestion also stating that the defence of the Rock was the direct responsibility of the British Government.
The spokesman also made clear that under the 2006 Constitution, the task of ensuring the defence of Gibraltar and the costs arising from it were the “direct responsibility of HM Government of the United Kingdomâ€.

The Spanish attitude over Gibraltar is holding back the introduction of an Open Skies agreement, and this is causing concern to European airlines.
It has now emerged that the Ukraine International Airlines has asked the European Commission to accelerate the signing of the Common Aviation Area Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
but the Spanish attitude over Gibraltar, which is contrary to what the Spanish Government agreed under the Cordoba agreement, is holding everything back.
