Do you mean the Alicante city or which town in Alicante will that be? I'm thinking of applying while I'm there in Alicante city if I can get it the same day.

Does anyone know if the form has to be typed & not hand written? According to the London site, it cannot be handwritten. What about if I appliy it in Alicante.. can it be handwritten?

Don't hold me to this cause I haven't done one for a while but I think it is now â‚¬15.90. You will also need to obtain the tax form 790 but you should be able to get that at the Police Station

Why do I need a tax form? Can't I just pay the 15.90 euro?

I forgot to ask where in Alicante city do I apply for the NIE, ie is it the police station & what is the name of the street & what time will it be opened?

Oficina de Extranjeros
Pintor Aparicio, 15

I presume they do the NIEs here as well

I am not sure but I think you get an NIE number with the residencia application now if you dont already have one.
In Fuengirola you have to make an appointment instead of just turning up on the day, someone I know has just applied and has to wait a month for their
appointment, so that has really speeded up the system.

Is that in Alicante city? I need to know the street name in Alicante City as I understand that you can get it the same day. I'm going to give it a try.

The residencia is now â‚¬8. 60cents, but I am sure this varies in different police stations..
