Good Matt, website from the Costa Blanca area.
If others could contribute with information from either UK or Spain, then perhaps a "first aid training" information map could be made? Just a thought.

Not sure if it helps but the RYA run first aid courses, I did one with them when I did my power boat course, and they have centres in Spain.

Don't forget to look at the Ads by Google at the bottom of the page.

Got to go just now, but will look into first aid training in Ayamonte area when I return.

P.S. Ah, just as I've posted, the ads have changed?

just quickly logging in to reply to your last post Matt,
ads by Google are on my computer underneath the "unsubscribe from this thread". ? Normally, they are related to the topic, but now they've changed to mortgages etc.
P.s. something to do with membership?

I must admit I have not taken a first aid course but when I had my first baby we had to attend a first aid course run by our doctor's surgery. It was excellent. They showed you how to resuscitate a baby etc. It was a four week course (8 hours in total). I believe that all new mums should have the opportunity to attend courses like this and perhaps make it mandatory.

Agree with you totally. As parents you are usually the first people on the scene if your child has an accident. Who else could save their life whilst also placating them effectively. I believe that it is the parents responsibility to ensure that they are adequately trained to safeguard their child in every way possible. Whether that is by ensuring that their house is child friendly and safe or making sure that they can deal with every eventuality.

Hi battlezone123,
Thanks for this input, it's an interesting point. Paediatric first aid is different from adult on certain points.
Good for you! Have you updated your skills?
Carol
