Translation from enessa site
The Royal Decree 1578/2008 of the Ministry of Industry, published last September 27, makes it obligatory for Distribution Enterprises of electricity bill, as of Nov. 1, on a monthly basis. This law is applicable to domestic supplies

ours goes up to around 50 a month in the hottest summer and coldest winter months - thats a lot for us - and there are 4 of us!

our landlord seemed to think we had found a way of by-passing the meter!!

We are considering changing to the dual meter but find Iberdrola very difficult to deal with.
They repeatedly charge us an excess on our bills because we use more than 500 kWh per month. One time they dramatically undercharged us and on the subsequent enormous bill, they charged a huge excess amount for over-consumption per month even though it was their mistake. We argued with them but got nowhere.
Is there a regulatory body to whom we can complain ?
They appear to be a law unto themselves.

Received the bill today, from 17 November to 17 December so it´s started already. Not gone out of the bank yet but, clearly, it will go out this week.

So estimates/meters not being read can sneak up & bite the wrong person on the bum
Same here! Despite being told that the previous owner would have paid the electricity bill up to the time he left, I was not expecting a high bill as we have only stayed in our house for 3 days after buying it - just noticed that 107 euros has been paid out of my bank to the electricity company!

Bit rich as the previous owner was only paying 30 euros a month.

Happy days
