Thanks everyone,

this question is to SSM.
So did you leave the NIF section blank or did you put the passport number in there?
Also did you get the crb sent to an English address?

Thanks

We applied while in Spain but got it sent to a UK address, this was no problem.

We had printed out the paper forms and filled them in leaving NIF blank, but then took them in to a Spanish bank to process/make payment. The clerk had to enter details into his system and asked for a NIF, which we didn't have. He said he needed to enter something so we gave him the passport number and he entered that and it worked.

But what was interesting was that we put an email address on the form, and when it transpired that the copy passport/authorisation we had sent with the forms was not good enough, they were very quick to email us and tell us and give us the opportunity to send another copy. Here is the email address they used and we did correspond with them using it so perhaps you could ask them directly? [email protected]

Hope this helps

Thank you so much for your detailed reply SSM.
This has all been very helpful, one last question if that's ok.
In the identification section did you put your Spanish address or an English one? If you put a Spanish one, then how did you get them to send it to an English address? Did you put a note in the envelope etc?

Thank you in advance

OK, I've braved my daughter's room, as I remembered that we actually printed a UK version of the form, filled some of that in and then transcribed to the Spanish version as a double check and so we had a copy.

The NIF number is blank, as I remembered. We put the UK address as we didn't want any confusion over where the form should go, although we sent it certified so had to put Spanish address on that post office form. There is also a section to complete if the form is to have 'legal force abroad'. Ours was for a uni application we named the uni in this section.

I also have the instructions and it does say for CRC you need DNI if Spanish, Residency Card, Passport with valid visa where applicable or EU ID if not Spanish. It also says the certificate will be sent to the address in boxes 5-14.

If you need more info on the specifics of how we filled the form in let me know - I'm assuming it hasn't changed since last July.

I would keep a copy for your records but send all 3 originals along with your notarised copy passport. Our man in the bank kept one page (probably as some record of the financial transaction, who knows) and we thought a page would be for us as the info was just repeated with lots of blank boxes, but he told us we had to send all the remaining pages. Certainly nothing was returned to us. Do ask if you need more help, I will be around on Monday.

Oh, & if during the international transfer, anyone's bank does insist on a street for the receiving bank, (like mine did) its Calle Alcala . Full address below:

BBVA
Calle Alcalá, 16, 1ª planta
28014 Madrid
Spain

(Great thread btw)

Hey guys,

I have been having problems with my Spanish CRB.

I have filled the forums out, got a copy of my passport stamped. The problem is with the bank I have used the bank details from the ministry of justice website and the bank details from here. But they have both failed to go through.

I am out of ideas can anyone help find the right bank details I need please. ( I live in the UK)

kdrogo, I don't know why your transfer should fail if you're using the correct details.

There are no other bank details published, and the only (useless) advice I can offer is to ask your bank to try again.

ENTIDAD: BBVA
TITULAR DE LA CUENTA: Ministerio de Justicia - Cuenta Restringida Recaudación Tasas Extranjero
NIF DEL TITULAR DE LA CUENTA: S-2813610-I
IBAN o Código Internacional de Cuenta Bancaria: IBAN ES62 0182 2370 4202 0800 0060
Código de Identificación Bancario (BIC) del BBVA: BBVAESMMXXX

I have seen these bank details before

" Ministerio de Justicia - Cuenta Restringida Recaudación Tasas Extranjero " and after this it say's
" Ministry of justice- Blocked account for the collection of fees abroad"

I printed out those details and that's what is says.

I will try again plus I will take the bank address too.

So final the payment goes through (after 3 weeks) just to find out that the great Royal Mail have lost my application.

So I have lost a few documents mainly concerned about my N.I.E number.

Will they take photo copies of your passport?
