The revelation, which will no doubt not impress those who are owed money because of the bankruptcy proceedings, was made in the business newspaper, Cinco Días.

Despite leading his company, Martinsa-Fadesa, to what has become Spain’s largest ever company bankruptcy proceedings last July, the President of the Company, Fernando Martín Álvarez, has still been taking a wage of 75,000 € - a month.

The wage has been accepted by the company administrators and is being paid from the active assets of the company. The revelation, which will no doubt not impress those who are owed money because of the bankruptcy proceedings, was made in the business newspaper, Cinco Días.

The company has debts of more than 7 billion €, and despite the bankruptcy the paper says that Martín still has personal assets of 58.4 million €.
Sounds like the perfect candidate to become Chairman of RBS.

I know once you get on the main dual carriageway you just head for the bridge, but its getting to the bridge, as I can remember having to change lanes quite often and having to take a turning on the right about 10 mins after leaving airport. I do have a sat nav but it tells you turn right when you cant turn there at all, directions are just useless. Can anybody name buildings that I need to pass so that I know I am still on the right road to Costa Esuri.

Please somebody help me, I am in total panic about this!

What a crotchety old b**** I am, and Karen sounds like a very nice person, but why buy a house and not have a clue about where you are, surely you should love where you chose to be???

My husband and I absolutely love where we live in Costa Esuri, couldnt wish for a prettier place to be, and when I am with my husband we have no trouble what so ever finidng our way to CE what so ever, its just that this will be the first time I travel without him and never really paid attention before. Everybody has been so kind with help, which again I appreciate, and yes I have now been onto Google Maps, didnt realise how easy it was to do that either. I have obviously rubbed you up the wrong way Anna - sorry!

This is the key reason why I read this forum, to get useful information and experiences. If I can also add those to the forum, myself from my experiences, knowledge, I am delighted to contribute. It has been a mine of information for me and extremely useful in this context.

I dont think anybody should feel restricted about asking questions (or contributing) - even if the question seems basic. After all - we all had to learn sometime.

Also you can bet if someone askes a question, there are others who also have the same query - so a reply will usually help several people.

So thanks for the query Karen and have a great time on your visit... I know you'll have a ball. And you are right - its an amazing place to have a home.

Jon

And just to remind people , as we did find last time there was a thread change that there were a lot of people who thought this was a forum because they were linking to it direct and that the forum had been closed down. Its not a forum ..... its just one thread (albeit a very important one) in a much larger forum where you are always welcome to post your views and experiences

Sooner or later we will probably have to close this one and start again as it gets bigger and bigger and too unwieldly for some of those still on dial up. But it wont vanish, it will just be reborn

I think you are being a bit harsh. You have to take into account that most people who post on this thread may never have posted on a forum before and their connection with this thread has allowed them to connect with others in the same situation. Maybe they don`t know how to start new threads (I know I didn`t as a newbie) and maybe with small nudges in the right direction everyone will realise that they will get a more rounded response from the Spanish forum about other topics.

All I can say is they are missing a lot of good information if they only link to this thread. A bit more to owning in Spain than where to eat and etc.
