I think you are ok for the time being PROVIDED Fadesa do not go into liquidation. I know of one plot owner who completed last week with no probs. The number you have for Paula often goes unanswered but I find an e-mail always gets responded to. Her address is [email protected]

Hi All,

We think it is bad in UK. Saw Paula in the shed this morning there were only three people in the whole of the sales floor. Paula was definitely there and busy as you can imagine so I guess an email would be best. Further cuts on the way.

Cool and rainy here in CEn but we do see the sun at some times in the day and the temp jumps to 15-16 degrees so can't complain. Any one over in the next 5 weeks give us a wave.

Regards, John.

Hi, We are thinking of starting to build on R27, does anyone know of anyone else in the vicinity of R26/R27/R28 who are likely to build soon. As we are a bit worried that we may be a bit isolated on our own because no-one has started to build around us. Does anyone know if the streets lights are working on Esuri? This is the view from our plot.

I only really understand the last paragraph which sounds hopeful. Paula has been trying to get a response from the administrators for us since Christmas but no word. When will it all get going?

Lovely view John and Christine - enjoy it - I think it will wonderful to see land and space all around you - enjoy it while you can. I thought all the infrastructure was in place, but perhaps it is just around the urbanisation.

Great view street lights on everywhere except R6 where we are they used to be on but got turned off when the Administration first started and have not come back yet. We shall start to complain as soon as we have curtains!

We're over for Feb half term and can't wait for a bit of warmth. Haven't been over since Nov so will definitely be having a walk around Esuri to see what's changed and will certainly give a wave if we see you!

It was a reasonable 15 degrees yesterday afternoon and 13 today but cloudy on and off and still threatening to rain. It has been raining all week:frown: But hey, it could be worse we could be in the UK!!! For all my smugness the kids are jealous of all the snow that they have never seen and their cousins who have had a week off school to play on their sledges, you just can´t win:confused:

I agree John that this is sharp practice but it seems to be typical of what we have come to expect. As one stuck in the administration process I received an unexpected but I think ( I cannot be sure) important document on Christmas Eve - for which I had to sign a second form to be returned to Spain - no translation but having managed to translate it there are papers to be returned within 10 days. Most solicitors including mine on holiday until Monday. Let's not be surprised at anything!!! There seems to be little ethical practice in my opinion.

We have basically given up on Esuri our dream went awol some time ago, so much so that we didn't even persue the registering of our credit status so nearly £40K down the road we have said au revoir. We do still get info from Fadesa/ Endesa whomever usually well after the event as like i read most but can you give me a brief on the important document that we also received at xmas, you can pm me if you like but its no big deal if you don't life goes on and i'll still keep reading the blog and hope that all goes well for all in their pursuit of the dream we all aspired to

Regards Ken

Hi Ken
Never got an answer on what the form was about - our lawyer failed to respond. Some time later we had a one liner that implied all was in order. Heard nothing since either but we are still looking to complete. If you are still interested in an apartment there then you have to continue to make yourself unpopular by pressing for answers and action. Having said that nothing seems to happen fast in Spain. It is a disappointment and has made me look at the plan with greater realism but I have not given up yet - not the least because I resent the loss of 60000 euros.

My big kid (23) spent the afternoon building snowmen in the back garden with his mates. Can't trust em when your away in Esuri!

I saw that the GBP/Euro touched 1.023 just after new year... as you say great if one can sell euro proerty and convert to sterling. I was in the UK over Xmas and the New Year and was buying champagne cheaper on the ferry (in Sterling) than I get on the continent! So I bought booze on the ferry/UK to take back to Belgium (where we pay the same as France) - that included French classics like champers and cognac, which was about 20% cheaper. Whats that about coals and Newcastle and snow and eskimos!

We used Norfolk line from Dunkirk-Dover a bit longer but a quantum leap in comfort and service, and of course these great booze deals (which paid for the tickets). Eurotunnel had terribly limited services whose timings didnt work, the tunnels arent fully open yet.

This must have killed the 'booze-run' trade just across the water in Calais.

Does anybody know please..

1. If the administrators had the properties in CE officially valued as part of the asset calculation... and ... if anyone knows the result of that (as it will set our values)

2. When the administrators will release all the vacant MF properties for sale.

Anyway HAPPY NEW YEAR to everybody.

If 2009 in CE/Ayamonte/Spain/Portugal can be half as much fun as we had in 08 then we are eager for it to continue... and delighted with our purchase. And over time it caow and we will n only get better.... especially as more plots get built on and more people move in, and all the infrastructure eventualy gets done i.e Hotel, Commercial centre and Marins (perhaps - still dubious about that - but excited at the possibility)

Regards
Jon

Where in the world are you just now. We are sat in the clubhouse and it is cosy and warm so we stay as late as allowed. Missed you all week we have been to Louis's every day for Menu del Dayo 15 euro for the two of us. No time to cook too busy trying to get every thing sorted still no proper electric just a gennie. However a treat is arranged for Sunday 8th when we are going to JAGS who is putting on a a Sunday Roast Dinner for 10 euro but wait for it he has got in a Michelin starred chef (yes really no kidding a michelin chef) so if you were not galavanting round Cornwall in the snow you could join us but you have to book and we have got 2 places don't know if there are any left but if you are coming over let us know and we will ring JAG to see if there is any room for you!

Regards,
