You're right there Tony but I assume that with all your years as a trader you made the right call and bought barrow loads at 1.45??? Gordon Brown has much to answer for and come the revolution he will be sent to Zimbabwe as a foreign worker. Probably tell them he has already saved the world and he's gonna sort them out too.....poor buggers, if they think it's bad now just wait to see what he does to them.

One thing I have started doing is taking out the Insurance for wheels tyres etc. I did this in Oct when I booked the car and it cost about £7 per week if you take it out at Faro it costs more

Unfortunately, while there he has a heart attack, and sadly dies.
The Israeli Government, mindful of the poor state of Zimbabwe's economy, offer to bury him in Jerusalem at a cost of just $100; pointing out that to take the body back to Harare will cost at least $250,000.
The Zimbabwe delegation go to one side and hold a brief discussion. Upon return, they thank the Israelis for their kind offer, but say they have made the decision to take the body home for burial.
The Israelis are dumb founded, and ask why; when the cost savings of a burial in Jerusalem would be so great?
The chief spokesman for the Zimbabwe delegation explains, that once many years before, another body had been buried in Jerusalem, and after three days had risen from the dead. They were not prepared to take a chance on that happening again.

Dear All
Firstly let me introduce myself my name is David Pusey & I live in a small coastal village about 20 minutes east of Malaga with my wife Liz plus a multitude of animals.
For my sins I am the Chairman of our local Royal British Legion Branch & in addition I am also the RBL Recruiting Officer responsible for Andalusia.
I have been looking with interest at your forum & I have to admit that I didn’t realise how many ex pats there are living in the Ayamonte area.
It seems that with the numbers of ex pats living in the area there maybe a wish, by a number of you, to have a local Legion Branch in your area.
If you are interested I would be happy to come to see anyone who may think that our great organisation would be welcomed in the area where you are living.
But I have say there are a number of myths about the RBL with the main ones being:
1 “The Legion is only for ex-servicemen and women.â€Membership of the Legion is open to anyone, regardless of race, creed or colour who supports the aims of The Royal British Legion. Members enjoy a varied social life whilst raising money for a worthy cause, we welcome all nationalities.
2 “The members are mainly old men who get together to exchange war stories.â€Not true, the majority of members, in Spain, have no war stories to tell as many are too young to have done National Service. Those who do are naturally proud of their service to our country but our social life is much more varied than that.
3 It’s mainly a drinking and bingo club.â€Many of our members do enjoy a drink when we meet socially, but we do much more than that. Our activities include theatre trips, visiting local places of interest, luncheons & dinners, 10 pin bowling, quizzes. Bar B Q’s etc and sometimes even bingo.
You may wish to look on my local branches website to give you an insight of what the Legion, in Spain, is about.
Your replies will be most welcome.

Good news on the work re-start.
Better than my Brothers contractors. His company supplies the Lindsey Oil refinery....
Anyhow, just booked to go back in April and about to book a week in March.
Somehow forgotten about the mortgage payments and it just seems like cheap holidays/breaks now.
I've even forgotten I have a Geordie next door on Esuri.
I realise I'm a misguided fool. A happy one though.....

For those of you in CE enjoying the warm rain spare a thought for those back in blighty suffering the depths of an English winter. It's 6" deep here in the Midlands. All taken this morning. Snow joke!!
