Indeed, John and I have noted that from your earlier posts on said subject. There is a growing strength to the Rago 1 group and that is based on the knowledge we have picked up in this forum.

Very good point Andy, I will feed them all the info I have got and let them decide.

Good Old Ryanair. I remember I got once a really good return ticket price from them, (40 Euros all in return) ....but I hate their site and always get a sour taste in my mouth at all the additional costs and things you have to click off etc.

Even though we've got a good deals with them in the past, I dont like the web experience and in fact would pay a supplement now not to use them. Dont expect any help from them if there is a problem either I was looking on line and they were comparing differnet companies and what happens if there are problems, Ryanair was the worst.

Also they had a calendar to choose the best prices and thats gone for a while.

I think they miss a trick with their systems as it can take away the feeling of getting a good deal..... when they offer one.

Easyjet is more customer friendly ( I have absolutely no connection with any airline.....)

Rant over

Angry Re: COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE

We have just got back from a week at our house at Islantilla. When we arrived there we found that we had been broken into... usual stuff taken, television etc... please be aware that empty holiday homes are a target for burglars. 5 houses were broken into on our complex.. they did not take our DVD player and golf clubs ( thank God) but seemed to choose different items from each property. The Police seem to think that it is foreign migrants who are setting up homes in the area and selecting what they need rather than to sell on...
In addition I parked incorrectly near the beach area and got back to the car just as it was about to be towed away... €111 later they relaesed the car. Be aware that if you do find a parking spot that seems too good to be true... it probably is!
We played Esuri old course and it is as good as ever... probably the best greens in the region. The staff at the Golf Club are great.. a credit to the Club. Had a drive by the new course... looks more difficult with good use of the terrain.
Not decided yet when to start building on our Plot at Esuri... if anybody is about to start building let us know...

I know nothing about plot building in Spain, but I reckon that now and over the next few months at least is a good time to get a good deal, there must be lots of people out of work and would be delighted to get the business.

Now how you would go about getting a good team, and getting the price etc - that's beyond me.

Very sorry indeed to hear about your experiences, to look forward to a much needed holiday and arrive to find you have been robbed must be awful. Did the properties that were broken into have grilles on their doors and windows ?
We have been thinking about whether we should have them fitted but decided to wait for the £ - € rate to improve...but now I am wondering if we should go ahead.

BTW has anybody on CE in the position that we are.....Fadesa still have a key to our house as there was just one more snag to do. Is there anybody left at the Shed or Aftersales to speak to about this ? We will probably just change the locks.........can anyone recommend a reasonably priced "man who can" for this ?

Thanks

Mel

Hi Mel

Check with Benny he used to do it before...

Not a bad idea to change the locks - we did. Also if you have a keyholder Fadesa can get the key for the snags from them too...

Hi All,

There is definite evidence that Pueblo Andaluz, RVA-4, RVA-1, RAGO-2, RAGO-1, Albatros I and lots of individual plots are connectd.

This is really "GOOD NEWS". For all the doubters out there CE now has LEGAL mains ELECTRICITY, GAS, WATER and telephone/BB available in all areas of what is a very large long term development.

Regards,

John.

All of our windows have shutters except one which is on the front of the house. We are in a gated complex with limited access. we had changed the locks after some of our neighbours had odd items go missing without a break-in. We are now having security bars fitted to the front of the house.
Great News about the electricity now being connected, if only Fadesa had got things organised sooner they might have sold more houses... and stopped all this negative news about Esuri... Esuri is going to be a great place. It has lots going for it... give it a couple of years and we will all be looking back wondering why we had any doubts at all ! Let's be positive!

Hi Brian,

Very sorry to hear your bad news about the break-in we had heard of others particularly the villa we viewed at Canela when deciding on our builder. They say it comes in threes so if your parking infraction was the only other then you have got away light. Were you fully covered by insurance and did they pay up promptly?

On the other front "come on in the waters loverly". From first sight of the site in July 2003, to project approval in September 2006, on to completion at the Notario in February 2007, start on site in July 2007 we can just about see the finish line in January 2009 and we could not be more thrilled all of course without the knowledge we now have. Our solicitor told us he arranged for a Bank Guarentee to be issued 2 months after we signed the Private Contract, never saw it! We had to push Fadesa to complete even without electricity just now arrived and to top it all MF and all their current problems. As a taster have a look at the villa peeping over the rough of hole 8 (I think there have been so many different layout plans) of golf II

Hi John,
The villa looks great. I tried to find it when we were out there last week but got lost... so gave up... Have you been pleased with your builder? Has it gone to budget etc?
We also decided to complete early this year when the offer to pay Notary was on the table... thought that we had nothing to lose by completing and always felt that we wanted to complely own the plot in case things went belly up with Fadesa. We are insured with Mapfre and the woman in the office at Lepe has been very helpful and sympathetic. She is Dutch so speaks good English. No doubt it will take a while to settle.
We are considering starting building on our plot soon. We have a couple of quotes but the exchange rate has put quite a bit on the budget. In hindsight I should have moved the money out sooner.... We are out again in November so will try harder to find your place. It would be good to meet up one day...

the locks have an exchangeable 'barrel'. Simply remove the steel strip that covers the opening edge of the door and two screws retain the barrel from inside. The barrel slides out and a replacement slides in. A barrel and 5 keys can be purchased from many places for as little as €10. 5 keys alone could set you back this much. I changed mine in 10 minutes. Its a DIY job that most people are capable of. Don't get ripped of by locksmiths!!

John

here are some shots I took of your place in late July. Glad to hear you can see the finishing line.

Snagging and Fadesa is one thing. Where do we stand with any remedy to structural damage and a 10 year builders guarantee. With who!!

Any body suggest an answer?
