Speaking of winds, luckily I tied my parasol to my balcony.... even with slabs holding it down, the winds shot it over the balcony. Without the rope holding it I could have done a lot of damage..... Just an idea for anyone else with umbrella's parasols etc. Add a safety rope!!!

Oh you're definately right about the target golf! Played the course on Thursday and it's definately a different experience to the first. There are a number of holes that require a big hit simply to clear the very significant rough. The approach to the 5th green is simply fantastic - watch out for all that water. Unfortunately left my camera in the car so I have no photos to add - but the course is definately worth it!
The wind also gets up - had to hit a driver into one of the par 3's! Nice to meet up with you when I was over, even if you were drunk after the footie final:thumbsup:. Cheers for sharing the cab fare back to CE... Are you a member or are they letting the public on now. I only use irons, so i'm not looking forward to my first game on golf II. Cheers John |

Hi I have a recomendation for Mosquito blinds.
I have no commercial connection with this company. I did a lot of thinking about these + have posted on this before. I got several quotes, but in the end I think I chose the best one. I decided to go for the more expensive option of pleated blinds throughout, and not the roller variety as these pleated ones can handle the strong winds that hit our property better. Also the quality of the blinds made-to-measure by a german company are very solid and the mesh appears to be stronger as well. Also I can remove the big door blinds easily and store them if I want to for some reason. The others couldnt do that. These are an expensive item and I decided that a litle extra up front would be well worth it. Hi Jon, have sent you a PM. Andy The company I used M2M blinds from Portugal were excellent the price was very competetive - I got excellent service from Denny Bird and can really recommend them - we are very pleased with the whole package we got from them and the look of them too. [email protected] Portugal 28 65 180 59 Its a fairtrip for him to come... so I would appreciate it if any enquiry is 'serious' Hot here and a big meet up of forum members coming up..... should be fun! Cheers Jon Have sent you a PM Andy |

Hi just tried a great place, second time for a 8euro menu dal dia lunch... so far the best in town for us.
its Meson Restaurante "LA CASONA". Stand in the square by the marina walk on the right hand side, with the marina on the left. Just after Casa Barbieri on the right there is a little road, and you'll see a benneton sandwich board there... go past the board and on the next corner youll find it. c Lusitania 2 3 courses with a glass of OK wine nice choices all for 8 euros.. bargain!! Hmm interesting, is that a permanent awning that you have fixed to the wall? Or is is some sort of temporary thing... just cant picture it. Also where did you get it from please?
Thanks Jon hopefully I will have attached a piccy so you can see the pergola and awning. The awning rolls forward and back by manually pulling a cord, a bit like raising a flag I suppose. Very simple, even I am entrusted with this task. The pergola and awning were erected by Josade, a guy (Jose Luis I think) from Villablanca. If you are in the vicinity (we are on Marina Esuri) you are more than welcome to call in and have a look for yourself. Regards, Mike. |
Re: COSTA ESURI - AYAMONTE
We are coming over in October for 6 months ... cant wait. We have been over several times for short breaks and have played tennis at the Ayamonte Tennis Club, and although the courts are not perfect, they do the trick.
We were wondering if there is anyone out in Esuri that would be interested in playing regularly, either at Ayamonte or any other courts that may be available. The manager at the tennis club speaks really good English, and, Im sure we could negotiate some reasonable court fees for a few of us. if anyone is interested please either reply or P.M. Cheers Steve & Judith |

Cheers Steve & Judith We don't play tennis but that is exactly our plan to come over in October for 6 mths. We have been taking short breaks for 5yrs waiting for first our plot to be handed over and then the builder to build but alas it looks as though it will still not be ready. We have been over in every month except August and find the June to September weather too hot but the rest of the year seems just perfect however our longest stay was this May and it was cool and wet for a lot of the 3 weeks we were in Spain. Still it was the first time in some 20 trips tha the weather has been less than perfect so I don't think thats too bad. Regards, John. |
