gosh that's cold, it's just dipped into single figures in Denia tonight, 9 degrees.

Shame there was a tube strike today or you could have gone for a ride to warm up a bit.

We have had three days of continuous rain - like shards of ice hitting your face. The mountains are covered in snow and the log burner is working overtime.

And here! :thumbup: As I sit in my little centrally heated, double glazed, cavity wall insulated, insulated loft house,snug as bug here as well. Haven´t really seen any snow here, and I´ve been out walking every day lately as it has been lovely and sunny. Keep the snow up your way, and I can stand lots of this, a bit of cold is fine by me. (so long as I´m warm indoors!)

The -13 was in Shrewsbury, but even colder in parts of Wales, and -20 in Scotland, forcast for today is -7 with wind chill factor on the south coast, had some snow this morning, but just a sprinkling.

The roof is of course leaking because there wasn't a proper waterproof layer put down before the paving was laid. Often when there is such a layer it stops at the wall, leaving a highway for the water to penetrate.

When I did ours, I ran the fibreglass cloth up the walls and over the top before painting the white gaucho on so the roof is a waterproof container with one side open.

If your leaks are really bad, I would leave it till summer, rip up the paving, waterproof it properly and then relay the tiles on top.

Yepper, and while I am basking in the sun from March to November, you'll be able to sit in your little box to protect yourself from the cold grey summer too! ;)

As you know, I like your area, and for us May, June and September are our preferred months. As you told us, you "enjoyed" 43 degrees for many weeks in August-Sept, personally you can keep that, I find that far too uncomfortable. And as for even October, I´ve said before, we´ve experienced rain like we´ve never seen before in Vejer and that area. Plus this year, in April-May, around Jerez, Medina Sidonia, we were still finding roads that were closed due to the horrendous flooding you had. So you certainly enjoy some good weather, but you have your share of indifferent weather. Here we rarely ever get snow, have never suffered any flooding, so it´ll do me. It´s another perfectly clear blue sky here again today, so I´ll be out now for hours to enjoy it, before we get all that horrendous weather that you insist we get all winter. :) TBH, I can´t remember when the weather last kept me indoors, I´m out just about every day.

Yeah, amazing rain, and SHOCK HORROR PROBE the weather in Spain isn't perfect every day. Who would have thought it?

I agree, it can get a tad hot, but rather that than the steady grey weather we used to get almost every day all summer in the UK. Plus, c'mon, roads out aren't anything to do with how the weather is at that time.

I've experienced Augusts when the sun has never shone, and we had to light fires to keep warm. Having years when you never get any sunshine worth speaking of is depressing beyond belief.
