Re: Cognitive Dissonance
Hi all, been busy all week and just caught up on some threads. A wee bit of unpleasantness I see has been the theme this week. I have a feeling some visitors to our little cyber spain are feeling a bit green, ( you the monster with green eyes, it has an ugly head it rears). I think they see us a jolly lot with real cyber feelings, who care and support, we accept all and dont really judge in a nasty way.
Can I use glad2bback as an examlpe. When she first came on here she got me abit, but now we are great mates and have had some good PM's. Same as big pete, now I understand his humour I love his posts.
I wonder of some people watch our site and see how well adjusted we are.
There ends the love in for today!

Re: Cognitive Dissonance
Phew, well I came across this thread "Cognitive Dissonace" and thought this should be fun......I only got as far as the words Uni educated and turned the pc off. Hackles straight up so went out for breakfast, giving it a second shot now and I am coping much better.
What I find hacks me off is first why do people have to draw attention to themselves by stating the are Uni educated Is this to make those of us who are not feel inferior and think oh this person must know what they are talking about. Secondly they then get ar$ed when brought to task over it and turn it around saying the other person is obsessed with education or lack of it.
I have to admit, and I don't like to bring up old postings but I am still confused as to what I said in "what do the Spanish think about us" I may of course have read Grazy post and mis-understood it but I don't think I was slagging anyone off and I found his reply to me quite upsetting, it was only JDR and Mitzy that made me feel better by taking the sting out of it. (JDR karma will be on it's way asap)
Well, I can't think of anymore intellectual things to say so I'm going to have a browse around.
