Dazzle has a better sense of direction than I do..appreciate your comments about maps and websites but they all have to be paid for and this is reflected in higher prices. There are some great furniture shops on the main drag.. remember a very smart one on the right heading towrds Macdonalds, with sofas for around 1200 EU...very luxurious but not what we wanted to spend at the moment..especially as we hope that most of the summer will be spent on the terrace and around the pool. If you really want to push the boat out head along the main road to Cadiz and have a look at Briole before you get to San Fernando. More Italianate than Spanish !

Ryanair are now running a bus from the airport at Jerez ,that goes into Novo Santa Petri ,and as far as Conil ,they are handing out timetables and charges leaflets at the arrivalls area at the airport ,has anybody got a timetable and charges leaflet that they could post on this site as ryanair dont appear to have information on this service on thier web site.

is this the timetable?

No sign of prices though. Could be a useful service although it seems the journey will be a long one!

Do they deliver your car to the airport or is it a cab ride there ?? Not sure exactly where you mean..is it near the venta that is never open ?? Also has anyone cabbed it to Chiclana?? how much was it ?? Freezing here in London too but sunny skies. I am dreaming of the day when I spend six weeks over there and am looking for options to hiring a car. What are local taxis like in Chiclana costwise??

the compound is about 10mins walk from the airport, as you come off the motorway there is a yellow old school bus parked up just past that , it may be very near to the venta on the left hand side.

Hi we were out last week. The car park used to be 10 euros a week and 30 a month but it went up in Jan I think, to 50 a month. Couldn't see the weekly price. Quite a few people seem to use it these days. It used to be mostly empty. The Venta is called La Parra. I think it is only closed at the moment cos its winter. We always stopped for a jamon sarnie on our way home up till Christmas. (21.30 flight) Noticed them closing earlier each time from late summer.

Hi,poollounger taxis from the airport cost 60 euros to chiclana, car can be left at the la venta parra for 50 euros amonth ,or 15 euros a week ,there is aletter box in the caravan that is on site ,put your car regestration number on the envolope and the date that you park the car, you can pay on your return, return taxi fares are 90 euros you can arrange this with Julien in Browns bar at Los Gallos or at the Lemon tree ,if you park your car at at La Parra you have to walk to and from the airport, dont recomend it when it is dark.Car hire is very cheap at the airport if booked on the internet Carjet.co.uk can rent you a car for about 120.00 euros a week ,much cheaper than hiring at the airport ,,or with hertz, the main airport parking was 9 euros a day,Finally the car you book with car jet will be supplied by one of the main car hire companies at the airport, happy traveling.
