At least on the CDS I don't come across any rude assholes like you No I have never received Gov help and I still pay taxes in the UK. Why would anyone in the UK feel any sympathy, haven't they been reading all the gloating about "living the dream" for the past decade Now it's all gone sour the gloats on the other side

It's all your fault cos you didn't support this poor woman who has spent 23 years living the dreem in Spain and now needs some benefit help

Back to the returning sponger...she is getting benefits, they have put her in a Hostal, if they are in a Hostal they get a daily meal allowance. I suspect the Grandson has been "borrowed" as Elspeth pointed out, in order to make sure she got accommodation. Sure thing she never paid any taxes or social in Spain either, we have all seen people like this on the CDS. I know someone who has been on the coast 20 years and has only worked on the black, he is now thinking of going back as he doesn't have enough work. Maybe better to have hard-working Polish than a work-shy Brit
Can you remind us again how you "earnt" your wealth, before you start lecturing us about "work-shy" Brits? I think it's rubbish to claim one nationality is hard-working, and another is lazy.

Think I'll just give the peas a miss and settle for the peaches and melons instead.

This is just a quick reply to this thread - I am shocked that people can be so vicious about someone (anyone!) who has found themselves in this position. She probably could have done lots of things differently but she hasn't. It is a very difficult time for lots of people all over the world and those at the bottom of the barrel feel it worse. I would rather pay a little more tax and have a bit of humanity there - and no I am not one of the super rich with a place on the CDS.
