Unfortunately it seems as though the accident and death rate is rising again at this holiday time. Be careful out there if you are driving, particularly near the coasts!

Sometimes its safer regardless of the cost to take a Toll, my view as stated before

Doesn't read to me that toll roads are any safer.
Far safer in my opinion to keep off all Spanish roads during holiday/puente times.
