Unfortunately it seems as though the accident and death rate is rising again at this holiday time. Be careful out there if you are driving, particularly near the coasts!

Sometimes its safer regardless of the cost to take a Toll, my view as stated before

Worth every cent! I feel like I take my life in my hands every time I drive the A7 along the south coast!
I can actually relax on the toll roads!

Doesn't read to me that toll roads are any safer. :huh:

Far safer in my opinion to keep off all Spanish roads during holiday/puente times.;)

They (toll roads) for me are far safer, Its a big problem too, Although I am unlikely (but have done) to use the AP7 to avoid Torrevieja as I know some other roads, if you look at the N332, it is a terrible road, there was another fatal on Monday which caused 3 deaths, this road and stretch in particular is renowned for it.

Tough time for the poor Madrilenos who seem to be paying dearly for their few days freedom and fresh air, as they struggle back home to Smogsville.on the traffic and fog-bound A3. :cool:
