Nice guy,great character,will be sorely missed.
The oyster problem I can well understand but never gave much of a second thought to the obvious when eating steak tartare.

Never again, in fact I'm surprised it's still legal to serve it, considering todays fairly strict hygiene regulations.

A real character, I had a non-speaking part in Wicked lady and he was fiery but fair. I liked reading his restaurant column.
