The oyster problem I can well understand but never gave much of a second thought to the obvious when eating steak tartare.

A real character, I had a non-speaking part in Wicked lady and he was fiery but fair. I liked reading his restaurant column.

I once had steak tartare in Poland. Had the shits for days after.

No - can't say we did. We met the other geezer who died a year or so ago - the royal correspondent chappie - James Whittaker. He was only 71 when he died - quite young really both of them.:(
