i think you are confused about the process - all sales completions must go through a notary. I suggest you do a bit more research so you understand what you are involved in -

BTW Did you fix your currency exchange rate in April? The delay may be costing you money as the exchange rate has dropped from €1.18 in April to €1.07 now.

Ask him which piece of paper - also have you given him power of attorney? The process should definitely not take this long even allowing for July/August when not much happens.
