Boarding Pass with Easyjet?

Yes. I'm away, in my village, drinking beer in my bar before some have even got to the carousel. I exaggerate only slightly...

Probably to do with if hiring a car you could be faced with up to an hours queue if you don't get here as quickly as possible. I got caught by that once by going with the cheapest hire car option. Never again. The company I now use cost more but I just walk into the carpark and collect my car.

I don't get the people who say 'there's no point in rushing off the plane'. Of course there is. If you don't have hold luggage, the quicker you're off the plane, the quicker you're through passport control and out of the airport. The only time it makes sense not to rush is when you have checked baggage and have to wait around anyway. There have been plenty of times when I've caught a bus or train with only a minute or two to spare. Not everyone travels for pleasure and not everyone can take their time to get where they're going.

Some people are in a hurry. I'm frequently in situations where I need to be somewhere at a certain time, but couldn't get an earlier flight due to work commitments, or perhaps I'm trying to catch a bus that only goes every hour or every two hours, so I'd rather rush off the plane and try to make it instead of waiting around for no reason. This time, I'll be trying to get off the plane quickly because I'm staying with a friend, my flight is quite late and I just don't want him having to wait up ages for me when he has work the next day. Plenty of reasons to be in a hurry.

What I don't get is people in the middle part of the plane immediately jumping up and anxious to get into the corridor and stand there and ............... wait till the doors open. We exit the plane in (roughly) seat order.....

What you find is that as soon as the plane has stopped some people jump up out of their seats and immediately head forward down the aisle before the people in front have even had time to take off their seat belts. Then the practice of dumping their hand luggage in the overhead lockers of the front most seats really pays off. They can quickly run down the aisle towards the front, only having to stop when they either reach their own luggage or someone stands up and blocks the aisle.
I suppose it can save them several minutes for getting off the plane, then maybe five or ten minutes at passport control. It can make the difference between catching a bus or having to wait for the next one.
Of course, what's really amusing is seeing their faces when they have to get on a bus to get to the terminal.

As someone who sits at the very rear I am happy to just stay seated reading my book until the plane has emptied as I am in no hurry. The irony is that usually I am first off the plane. Easy jet have come to an agreement with Alicante airport to dispense with airbridges and use stairs at front and back of the aircraft. But don't tell anyone or they will all want to sit at the back

I realise this is a bit off topic, but... maybe someone can help.
I had Ryanair tickets. But had to come back before due to an emergency. I tried to change the tickets, but it cost more than buying new ones.
It means I have valid tickets at the moment that I wont use. Will Ryanair refund the airport taxes that I don't use (and they pay to the airports for my usage) ??
Knowing Ryanair, I think I can guess the answer - but was wondering if legally they can take a tax for something not used.
Thanks

Any idea if Easyjet staff make sure people don't hog the overhead bins at the front now that you have to pay for seats? I've paid for both my seat in aisle 4 and Speedy Boarding so expect them to make sure my bag goes into the cabin... getting a bit stressed about it as I really, really can't afford to wait for my bag if it gets checked in nor wait for the plane to empty if it ends up halfway down the plane. It's a hard suitcase as well so no way I can put it under the seat in front...
I'd actually much rather go back to the old first come, first served style of boarding where I could just arrive early and pick whatever seat had an available overhead bin. How do they board now? Section by section or is it still first in line, first on board?

I don't understand what you are worrying about. You are in row 4 and you have speedy boarding. Therefore you will be one of the first people on the plane and one of the first to use the lockers. It couldn't be any easier.

I've been caught out before when I booked seats at the front of the plane and the plane boarded from the back, meaning that by the time I got on, all the front lockers were full. Almost everyone in the first three rows had to check their bag into the hold and the cabin crew couldn't have cared less! That wasn't Easyjet, though.

If you know that the front three or four lockers are going to be full, why don't you go straight to row 5 or 6?
