I come from the Leicester area and i agree fully with your comments, my other half comes from Shropshire and the same there.

all joking apart lovely postxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Not really sure but I think that you will find that in gobblygook as you probably know an ear is 365 ays so compares favourably with the 365 days in a year if you type in English rather than gobblygook.

But of course you were way, way ahead of me as usual.

Hi all
Im not in Spain yet but i am looking for a better quality of life - here in England the weather is terrible - my kids are never going to be able to afford to get on the property ladder - if they want a council house there is a 10/15 year waiting list - i am on a treadmill every day from the moment i get up until i go to bed - my husband has to work two jobs so we can afford the things we enjoy (we are not in anyway extravagant but are entitled to some luxuries surely) - they have just shut all our outstanding special schools in our area and we are now being forced to work in more challenging conditions  - there are loads more reasons but i would also be here all night.
I know Spain has its problems as well but i dont want to get to the point were we say if only we had given it a go......... if it dont work you pick your self up and start again - done that before so looking forward to the challenge - i just wish we could get over there sooner rather than later.
Thanks
Love Sam

Your kids won't get on the property ladder here either, it is always in the spanish papers. Low wages, high house prices.

Hi Matt
Well i suppose the US will have claimed it wont they - weren't they the first to put their flag on it???

Hi jackytoo
You can still buy relatively cheap property in Spain - they may need work doing to them but thats what my hubby and his partner do so we are very lucky in that area - my youngest son also enjoys helping his dad so he can help out with any renovations (hes training as an electrician at the moment but also wants to learn other areas in the trade as well). We are hoping to get them on the property ladder in this way and then hopefully they will be able to start to climb on their own steam then - fingers crossed - aww come on i dont want them living with me forever even though they keep threatening :D.
