Re: better quality of life
Listen. It is night moving in the streets, the processional salt slow musical wind in Coronation Street and Cockle Row, it is the grass growing on Llareggub Hill, dew fall, star fall, the sleep of birds in Milk Wood.

Re: better quality of life

Re: better quality of life
I think mitzy has done well by closing this thread, its played itself out and just causing friction and breaking up the family.
No matter where you live there are going to be people for and against, so you take what you like and leave what you don`t, or you move on. But one thing I have learnt in my streetwise life is..... you never shit on your own doorstep, you never know when you might want to open the door again. Take it easy folks, life is too short for more hassle. |
Re: better quality of life
Now I know things got a little bit heated last night, but lets not carry that on. I've not deleted or edited any posts, as in the cold light of day I'm sure everyone will see it for what it was. Lets that remember everyone has the right to express their opinion in a reasonable way, and maybe just think a little about what they are posting when discussing such an imotive subject.
The original poster asked about a better quality of life in Spain. Lets get back to that, and although I realise it does cross over at some point lets not go for our hat trick of falling out today! OK?;):D Have a nice day now :D |

What are the better qualities of life you have found in Spain? The people: They seem to accept each individual the way they are and are warm and friendly. The lifestyle: The ability to organise a day out etc mostly without worrying about what the weather will be like. The landscape: So diverse, colourful and seasonally interesting. For us retirees of course there is the added bonus of having a more leisurely life after working all our lives in what may often have been boring or stressful jobs. For me personally I think the best way that I can describe the 'better quality of life' is the fact that I live with some of the most thoughtful people that I have ever lived with. My neighbour's daughter and a couple of her friends insisted that I went out for a coffee with them the other evening because they were concerned that I was spending far to much time in the house. They also told me of dinner and dances on Saturday nights and the swimming pool opening hours to encourage me to go out. I know that this would not have occurred where I lived in the UK, in fact I would have been lucky to have even had a hello. I lived in my last house for 15 ears and only knew the names of three people in the street whereas here I know the majority of the peoples names. Rosemary |
