Hi All
I am just posting to update on my deposit. First, I do notice on this site that many people come on here to ask/seek advice. I have on many occasions and most expats are very helpful. However there are a few regulars that are very quick to assume that most new/future expats are thick, still struggling with English never mind spanish and have not got a clue (livit) Dont Assume!!
Well,,,did I get my money back?
Regards

There have been a lot of cases covered that indicate many do.
Maybe its the sun, the bargains, the helpful estate agents or the language.
Anyway I hope you take the robbing bas........s to the cleaners.

I also hope many of the bad Brit`s move to Bulgaria rather back to the UK.

Hi All
Well we finally made our move to Javea at the end of March. We used a van hire company. I will not name just yet. To start, the vehicle was illegal through numerous faults. (spanish reg) I contacted the company who stated that they were sorry ect. Since arriving in spain the company has not repaid my 250 euro deposit. I have called and emailed and been fobbed off with lame excuses ie, you broke the rear lights and the fuel cap was missing. The company owner, who collected the vehicle did not say any of this on collection. How do I go about claiming this money back? I have read about Denouncing someone but would this work? Company based in southern spain
Any info would be great thanks.
And very typical,,,guess where there are from,,,,,the UK.

when you contact the hire company to inform them you cant rember where you left it remind them they never refunded your deposit and burst out laughing
This will make you feel good if nothing else!!!
Of course this is only a joke and I am not really recommending you do this
