I don't really know why some of it fits and I don't know what it means...

Great minds huh Fred? I'm off to our old bar in a minute, remember it? It's their last Sunday. They made a really good go of it for a couple of years - he's a very good chef - but sadly there just aren't enough people around - too much hard work for too little reward.

Thanks Fred and Jim.

I would never have got that.

Heres another

Gran's top cupboard containing pure yellow material.

2 words, 6 and 5 letters

First word begins with 'G'
Second word begins with 'P' and ends with 'S'

Would the first word be golden?

If not I am off this thread as you are all a load of showoff smart asses.

Shame that the second word does not start with the s and end with the p because I like would the answer to be Golden Syrup.

I think it might be gutter press but I can't see why.

ETA Is a press a cupboard?

Re: Any cryptic minds out there

Ha!! Yes, in Ireland a press is some sort of cupboard.

So we have G (gran's top) and press (cupboard) containing utter (pure).

And apparently 'yellow journalism' is another term for low quality news writing.

Very obscure.

Well done again Jim. I've never heard of 'press' relating to a cupboard.
