I believe they do too but it's just the method of slaughter I have a bit of a problem with. Having said that, I respect the right of the Spanish to follow their traditions absolutely. I just don't want to watch one.

It`s not a new thing though, one of my first jobs working in the heating and plumbing trade was to put in huge height adjustable heating elements into chicken battery houses.
This was 50 years ago.

Yes. I think the way we have fallen out of touch with the ways of the country and farming is actually dangerous and has led to a drop in the quality of life for both humans and animals.

When talking about food, meat and fruit/vegetables, it really shouldnt be about which is the cheapest. We spend less on our food nowadays then we ever have done (as a proportion of total income). People expect to spend less and less every year so the food quality is getting worse and worse.

Absolutely, industrialised farming in the UK started after the second world war, as the government wanted to increase yields in order to feed the population without relying on imports.

And as the UK had its first industrial revolution hundreds of years ago, the British working class of the cities (not the country!) haven't eaten well for hundreds of years. This contibutes to the lack of knowledge about food in the UK among the wider society.

..and talking about money, although there are many millions of non Spanish that hate bullfighting, they'd be even more upset if they knew that indirectly they are helping to pay for it in the form of EU grant of €600 million. That's a lot of subsidy! perhaps they'd like to subsidise a few foxes and hares!

After reading all of this rubbish that hasnt got anything to do with animals other than that of the human variety.

I think bull fighting is F**k**g barbaric and so do most of my family in Galicia, it is not a northern thing, anyway, like flamenco.

It is not cruel to stab a magnificent beast untill he is weak with loss of blood, and then a ponce in a cape, does a few twirls, a bit of fancy footwork, a bit of arm waving.
Due to his skill the poor animal dies............as I said before f**k**g disgusting, art my a**e, entertainment, bollocks.

Not at all, no anger issues, but I dont like being lumped in together with the Spanish who think bull fighting is a sport.................If it were up to me Fran, Cayetano and the others would be out of a job..

I never said you couldn't have an opinion, I said that because you chose not to have anything to do with it it left you a little short to be able to comment, thats all... and to be honest the whole swearing thing and your subsequent aggressive replies does show you have a couple of anger issues.
