Andalusian drivers

Remember depending on the time of year, 50% of people driving on the roads in the Costa del sol won't be Andalucian!
Seriously though, I never throught the driving was that bad. You just have to expect anything and react accordingly. It's not particularly dangerous though
I'm driving down there in a few weeks time, lets see if it seems worse now that I've been living in the civilised North for a while!

As for driving in the south, it must be hell; machismo firing on all cylinders.
We're going to Mijas for 10 days in August, so I need to hone my driving into something like Ronaldo when he scores.

Never understood this 'macho' thing about Spanish men. Drama queens, man bags and shorts with tie up laces on the ends yes but macho? Lol.

I'll bet Spain's a terrible country for a Gillette salesman.....what's with the 5 day stubble Rajoy and half of Spain always wander around with.

Spanish men don't consider themselves macho, indeed the word itself as an anglification that started in the States you were exposed to Mexican Spanish and nothing to so with reality

For what it's worth, my male cats, on their official Spanish Pet's Passport have their sex entered as Macho. That's not the vets description, it is the "tick the box" option.
So if Spanish men don't consider themselves Macho what are they?

That's how the Swedes are now viewed by many outsiders after several generations of brainwashing from an early age, seemingly intent on reversing the roles.
As regards the Spanish, one of the first things that I was told first time I arrived, was that the guys favourite hobby was to dress up as women at every possible opportunity and from what I've come across myself they're certainly not so macho as they appear at first sight.

A male person is called "Varon" or "Masculino"

I've got this picture in my mind of bikini clad matadors - could be quite popular.

Oopsie on my part but it has made me giggle.
