Whilst I sympathise - aubergine pickle's absolutely my most favouritest - you can't really expect to 'avoid' clearly written rules, however daft you (we) may think they are. Besides (a) Just cos it's sealed doesn't mean it was sealed in a Patak's factory (b) you can get it in Spain!

lighters are banned, now that smoking is banned on all planes.

What annoys me most is ( I know I am very frequent flyer and know better ) but at all Airports there are signs everywhere stating 'no liquids '.so why am I standing behind a lady arguing why she can't take her 3 bottles of wine through security .I have seen a bloke walk up to security with an obviously expensive wooden boxed Whiskey set ,why oh why ,I mean you can argue till your blue in the face but one thing is for sure you will not be taking it through security so why do people blatantly ignore these signs and the advice on ther travel docs and hold up everyone in the process.These are not just the odd person either I see it nearly every flight I take (which is a considerable amount )
