I have a 42 inch 3 year old Panasonic plasma. Actually if I think about it, it's only compatible with a computer (laptop) which has an HDMI output. It's not compatible with an older laptop I used to use which has a VGA output.

Hi capnbilly my computer dose not have a HDMI out let but still works on my friends and is only a two years old Toshiba Satellite (Very good) I like it mylast one was a Acer and it fell apart and was very poor

Well ..... so is mine!

Mayve 4 years old actually, 42 inch Viera. Theres a socket on the back marked (iirc) PC and the blue button on our remote changes between avg, component, pc

The laptop plugs in, and I have played downloaded films

No nothing like mine remember I got mine in Spain and it could be a older model than uk type
