I know this thread has moved on vastly since I last posted, but just one more thing with the rabbits. Yes she can get pregnant, female rabbits release an egg after they have mated, something to do with the chemicals!!
The vets will only operate when they're reproductive organs are fully mature, as especially for females it is a very dangerous operation when they are young. So you would be able to get "the boy" done first, but like someone else wrote take them to a vet they can tell the sex of them a lot easier than a layman. We tried but it's way too difficult.

Well would you believe my O/H used to breed rabbits has a boy,and he says You would be able to sex them yourself by having a close look.If you have a male and female and they have bred you will hear the patter of tiny feet in August and be enjoying the stew in November,one other thing the buck and doe will have to be seperated or he will attack the young,this is for real life not beatrix potter...........

I've bred hundreds of Rabbits in the past ,some for meat others for show . Rabbit gestation is between 29-35 days ,also have a look here ,it tells you how to sex Rabbits .
