Re: accomodating visitors
Harsh? Perhaps, but six in our house is a bit of a squeeze. Main thing is the third bedroom, which I have as an office, hence the search for a bed!

Re: accomodating visitors
We got so tired of being used and abused by family and then friends of family. We started to make excuses, like sorry we are away that week. Now we say YES to those who we know will appreciate our hospitality and NO to the rest.

I am sure that they have a delivery service, there is a cost of course.

AFIK Ikea do not deliver, but there are numerous independent contractors who will collect and deliver to your door.

There are a few folding beds in Amazon.es and they deliver.

I second the air mattress option...electric or foot pump....used one for guests for years never had a complaint...and deflates to next to nothing ,,they go from 30 pounds and up ...Amazon has them..Argos has them...OR tell the family to bring one with them )

Ikea Valencia deliver for a fixed fee depending on distance, I think they have 3 zones. Javea is in the outside zone and they'll deliver beds and sofas here for 79 Euros. It's cheaper if you are closer.

WEVE CONSIDERED buying a new matress on which he could sleep and which we could then use to replace our own one on our bed and dispose of the old one when they leave. Looking at prices at one local outlet however there were prices between 800 and 1200 euros! I was quite shocked at the prices,,,
AN ALTERNATIVE would be a put-you-up folding bed to use as a temporary solution but I don't know if they can be hired and we don't really want to have to store it in the house when it's not needed.
So, advice please with ANYSUGGESTIONS TO OUR DILEMMA also somewhere on the Costa Blanca North where a matress can be obtained at a more reasonable cost.

Why not look for something similar to this which is what we did in similar situation. Inflates and deflates in minutes and easy to pack and store. You can get in single and double sizes
