3.can i skip iltes its sounds very very boring?

what would be the best way to proceede now will be great help of suggestions.
Hi,
From your post, I assume you are an Indian passport holder. So, you don't have the luxury of thinking IELTS as something avoidable (though I agree it's pretty boring.) YOU MUST HAVE IELTS SCORE IN YOUR HANDS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. Else, you application will be rejcted straight away and bear in mind, there is no right to appeal for 175 (I have no idea about 176). Please do a search on some posters here whose application was rejected becaue they took IELTS after applying. Also, please go through booklet 6 thoroughly before applying; of course unless you do not mind throwing away 2105AUD. I could not get what you mean by "i havent taken yet as i dint get a agent till now " and "if i dint get through modl of asc". If your assessment is positive, you are on MODL (and CSL also if from ACS). IELTS is valid for 2 years and for immigration purpose, you can take either of academic or general but if you are planning to pursue higher education, you must go for academic.
Hope this helps
Husain

Sounds strange. I believe all 2231-79 occupations are on MODL and hence on CSL.

Are you sure you have mentioned the correct ASCO Code here?

Hi,

It is not strange. To be on MODL and hence on CSL have to be stated on skills assessment an text in wich they say: In my opinion he/she has the qualification to be bla bla bla (the qualification eg: network security or something) and on MODL list.

On my skills assessment it is not stated anything like this, so I know that I am not on any list in demand. And, yes I wrote the right ASCO code: 2231-79 network engineer.

Good luck

Hi navigatoru,
You are talking about 'effects' and but you should be interested in 'cause'. If 'network engineer' is on CSL and you are a Network Engineer, then you must be on CSL. How can you be a Network Engineer and not on CSL? If that is the case, I don't think you should give your code as network engineer. The reason why ACS did not think of you as qualifying may be because your work ex may be less than one year in this field. Do you have minimum four years work experience? Have you been working as Network Engineer for past one year or more?

Hello husaing,

the network engineer is not on CSL either on MODL. I am working like network engineer since 2004. the ASCO code 2231-79 is not especially designed for MODL qualification, it is stated on SOL list that 2231-79 is nec not else classified.
on my acs assessment it is stated: Yours skills have been assessed to be suitable for migration under 2231-79 of the ASCO code, being the skilled ocupation indicated that you intend to nominate in General Skilled Migration application

So, I don't have the word MODL on my skills assessment, even I had been satisfied the requirements for ACS PIM 2, group A, and thus I have at least 4 years experience and an university that it is recognised in Oz.

Anyway, i will send a email to DIAC and I ask to clarify my situation, but I don't have to much hope.

Good luck.

Thumbs up Re: March 2009 Applicants

Hi Guys need a help here.
I called adelaide processing centre for my application.

Than the person on phone checked the status of my application .
I asked whether i will fall under CSL category or not. He said No, as I had choosen wrong occupation in my application i.e I had choosen occupation as 'Aplication or Analyst programmer' which is not in CSL or MODL.

I asked him to look in to my ACS letter which has recognised me as 2231-79(J2EE Specialist). than he asked me send the post lodgement enquiry with asking for the change in occupation to put me on CSL list.

I sent the email , I received the confirmation from them as below:

Email I got from Adelaide PRocessign Center is below:

Dear Mr Nayakar, Thank you for your e-mail about your visa application under Australia’s General Skilled Migration programme. I can confirm your occupation has been changed on the 30 March 2009. For any further enquiries about the application you have lodged please refer to our website using the following link http://www.immi.gov.au/contacts/visa...fessionals.htm

Kindly suggest me ,Do I need to send another PLE to make them confirm that I am under CSL , as I read in few messages here than people need to intimate procesing center that my application and profile are under CSL category to get the priority processing.

Anyone please suggest me what to do ?

Even I have chosen 'Computer Aplication Analyst/programmer' but also chosen ticked MODL etc. I think there was no other option to choose. Sent a PLE to department as well regarding CSL.
