Thanks, I am trying.
I have spoken to my agent and e-mailed vetassess and if Matt as just failed on what he thinks he has then we have been told by both that he will just have to do that bit as it was a unit that was on its own but if he's failed on more then he will have to do it all again, so I am just keeping my fingers crossed that if he as failed it is just on that bit.

hi guys.....
bit late but good luck to all those doing their test today
Ben had he's on Friday and he said it went really badly!
think he was stressing way too much so made silly mistakes!
so best bit of advice would be to CHILL OUT!! take your time and not get too het up with it all!
Ben actually found that he's assessor seemed to take an instant dislike to him and kept going on about he's age (oh dear!) ben is 27
:curse:
so i think its going to take more than luck to get us through this time!!! doh
i'll keep you posted
Stephi
ps. the questions were very random - scaffolding components, explosive something.... and foundations
but practical element was as expected - roof, saw horse and marking out stud wall
if you want any more details just ask

I personally think that if you have a qualification in the trade and you are working full time in that trade then the visa should be automatically given to you..surely you must be a good enough carpenter that you are making money in this country!!

All the best.

Why were they concerned about Ben's age?

Hubbie did bricklaying practical in Accrington on 17th and he has passed!!!
Our tradeassess has been changed to practical successful! What a relief, he wasn't nervous as the assessors were really nice so i guess that helped!

Presumably you applied to Vetasses on line and your checking your online status?
Eammon did his carpentry assessment yesterday and the assessors said he would hear in around 7-10 days, so your result has come through really quickly. Well Done!

Hi Lee
i think Ben was just unlucky and got a grumpy old g!t!!!
you're 21 aren't you? so younger
if they didn't dwell on your age i wouldn't worry about it too much!
thanks for your message though - what will be will be i guess!
preying for a good result

Hi thanks guys for your congratulations, yes we are estatic!! I was checking the tradeassess site for the info i put on the vetassess application to help me complete visa application and happend to notice it said our practical was successful! What a shock when i wasn't expecting to hear until the good old postie brought something!!
I am now wondering if i just use the vetassess reference number to apply for my visa or if i have to wait for something which i scan to them!
I am so nervous about submitting the visa application as i have done it myself and hope i have submitted enough proof as we are bang on 120 points!
Has anyone done ielts just to bring their points up incase they drop any points anywhere else??
Fingers crossed for all you guys waiting to hear and i am sure they account for nerves!!
Don't worry about the grumpy assessor as i am sure the other assessors will have had an input too!!

Hi sutty 77, What did your hubbie look like? I will ask my hubbie if he remembers him, i am sure he will as there were only 10 brickies. Tim said he would like to know how everyone got on, i guess they all had a chance to get to know each other before they went in! Tim is 37 with short fair hair and finished around 12 ish if that helps for recognition!

My husband is convinced that he has failed too so we just feel that we are waiting for the bad news! My hubbie is a bricklayer but hasn't been doing it for very long compared to others and he said that he was the last to finish and because he felt under pressure, he didn't do it very well. Oh well! I'm sure it won't be as bad as you think but it might make you feel better that you won't be on your own! Good luck and chins up!!!!

Hi guys
Just thought I would let you know that after hearing 'Jollyswagman's' fantastic, news, I contacted my agent today to see if she could check with Vetassess on our behalf as it will be 10 days for us tomorrow. Anyway, she said that she couldn't because Vetassess have published that the assessment results may take 4 weeks and you aren't able to chase it before the published dates. Harsh!!!! Therefore, the rest of us who haven't heard just have to keep on hanging in there and hopefully we'll hear ASAP. My finger nails are gone!!!!
Let me know if anyone is lucky enough to hear
