Hi
We sent our paper assessment off on 16 April and found out we'd passed on 6May, so around 3 weeks.
Know how you're feeling and when you stop stressing about one thing, you start stressing about the next.
Good luck - let us know when you pass. What's your trade?

oooh mine too!
have you heard anything from your OH? is he in london?
i've not yet heard from him!
our time line so far has been:
9th April sent paper stuff to agent
16 April agent sent it all off to Vetassess
24 April email from agent saying something missing
2 May agent sends to Vetassess AGAIN
26 May get confirmation we can proceed to practical (yipee)
so for us it was about 6 weeks but it would have been between 4 and 5 if the info was correct first time
not too long really
good luck

We did ours ourselves (or I did!)
It took 1 month from when we sent the papers off to vetassess to when we received our positive paper assessment.
You probably won't hear which practical you are on until the closing date or after for the practical slot you choose.
Good luck! My OH has his on Monday....

ah well done lee at least its over with - wishing you and everyone else good luck for a successful result!!!
ben is literally in the test now - i'm soooooooooOOOOO nervous for him!!!
we had a few dramas last night....
we had booked a hotel in harlsden (not knowing that it is quite a rough area) so then arrived at hotel to find NO PARKING nearby (not good with a van full of tools) so we cut our losses and tried the local travelodges. nearest Wembley (literally five min drive for those that want to know) was full! so we went to the one near heathrow - only took 20 min drive in morning!
but at least there was parking and tools were there in the morning!
we arrived at the right college in the morning but found it difficult to find the entrance because we arrived too early! found it in the end and luckily there is parking on site at the college (another thing we were worried about)
so yep... now i'm stressing
AH
speak laters all!
a stressed but happy stephanie (because i passed three of my accounting exams yesterday!!! wooohoooo)

You have plenty of time to complete the tasks so best thing is just not to panic. The assessors were really genuine. It wasn't really that daunting at all.
Kind of straight forward stuff really...Here's me saying all this and i don't know if i've passed yet!!!
Good luck mate.

Hi Lee
I'm sure you've passed. Also got mine tomorrow and still practicing my roof. Going to drive down to London this evening.

Re: ANYONE DOING PRACTICAL FOR VETTASSESS IN JULY?
hi guys.....
bit late but good luck to all those doing their test today
Ben had he's on Friday and he said it went really badly!
think he was stressing way too much so made silly mistakes!
so best bit of advice would be to CHILL OUT!! take your time and not get too het up with it all!
Ben actually found that he's assessor seemed to take an instant dislike to him and kept going on about he's age (oh dear!) ben is 27
:curse:
so i think its going to take more than luck to get us through this time!!! doh
i'll keep you posted
Stephi
ps. the questions were very random - scaffolding components, explosive something.... and foundations
but practical element was as expected - roof, saw horse and marking out stud wall
if you want any more details just ask

Hi Steph, my OH had is assessment last Tuesday and he's went badly as well, nerves got in the way and he made silly mistakes as well which he's really annoyed with himself with.
Should get results this Friday(ish) but I'm not hopeful.

it's quite depressing actually isn't it!
he just couldn't talk to me all evening because he was so fed up!
what trade test was your OH doing? Ben's was the carpentry one
lets keep our fingers firmly crossed and see what happens!
be good to find out Friday - although some people have been told there is a few weeks delay!

Yes it is, Matt was the same all night.
He was doing the joinery test.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Friday even though Matt says he knows he's failed. I'm also hoping that he hasn't failed on much then he doesn't need to re-sit the whole test again, just part of it.
Hope it goes the right way for you.
