Just for info and you probably you know this already, but our recent bill states that, from now on in, invoices are to be sent out monthly, rather than bi-monthly.

I'm told you get a €26 bill when they cant be arsed to come and read your meter, which means I should be getting a lovely €380 bill just before Christmas

We paid for two months in our last bil that was the beginning of November will have to find the bill and see what it says on there, and check the bank to-morrow to see if anything has gone for this month,
telephone is to come out this month so I had better check if I have some money in there.

Paid our last bill begining of November, there was nothing to say they were going to change from the normal bi-monthly bills. The next one is usually for three months at the end of January as we don't get a meter reading in December due to all the holidays..

We've always paid bi-monthly and the bill has always been around 30€. However the last bill for the same amount of power usage (yes I checked back on previous bills!) has doubled that to 58€!!!!!
Anyone care to explain that anomaly? my wife reckons its because of the rise in the price of energy, but to go up 100% that is one hell of a rise! Its frighening to think of how much it will be when we move permanenly.

Ours was 91.16 euros
We have seen on the bill that there are two different rates though
the daytime rate between 12noon and 10pm is charged at 13.8 per kwh and between 10pm and 12noon it is charged at 5.4 per kwh It's a case of adjusting your electricity useage.

If you don't have it and want to change to it, it means a new meter and time switch.
It can save quite a lot of money, particularly if you can control your usage pattern - dishwashers, washing machines, pumps etc.
It saves me over 400€ a year.

That is the new Tarifa Ahorro - it used to be the old Tarifa Nocturna until they increased the off peak hours.

Had a look at our last bill an there is nothing on it that say the bills will be monthy, will have to wait and see what happens. I wish my leccy bill was 30E a month I'd be well chuffed.

I wish my bills were only 26€ a month. Can I move in with you, or would your wife object??
