hi weve lived here for over 2 years....in winter (uk summer) weather great but from nov till may is wet season, floods and cyclone threats..is extremely humid and if u dont love extreme heat its not...

My wifes parents are thinking of joining us in Australia but the only real option for them is the investment visa as they are over 60 years old and fail the balance of family test. Just wondering if...

you have to attach proof of relevant qualifications and/or courses relating to the job,proof of experience ie; tell them on the form your previous experience,if your unsure go to immi.gov.au and...

We went with ANZ coz they can give us the best mortgage deal (via broker)
there is also NAB and commonwealth and a few others though cant remember its easy to open one when you get here all you need...

Hi all,

Landed in Cairns on 20th but took a while to get internet sorted. Easy for us to say now but it is worth the stress and waiting when you finally get here.

I think its quicker if you lodge your application online and go to a med centre that do meds electronically...also were aware that Perth and Brisbane seem to have the most backlogged applications and...

we did our meds by paper then were sent via courier i wouldnt say it held up our application much though... we couldnt fit all our docs on to the application either so all we did was we emailed our...

I think electronic meds are supposed to be quicker, however our paper meds were finalised in exactly 2 weeks so not a huge wait either way really :thumbsup:

I think this is because most are still waiting for their nursing registrations when they apply for the visa. I've been registered since April so I guess this is just how long Brisbane must be taking...

were all worrying!!! my hubs has a drink driving conviction a fine of £350 and a yrs ban it was 10yrs ago and had no offences since... we only got our CO today so they havnt asked for a police...
