UK state pensions are taxed in France. Only UK government pensions (e.g. police, fire service, etc.) are taxed in the UK as per rental income.

This coverage map (https://www.nperf.com/fr/map/FR/-/-/signal/)may help you find out whether 4G is available in your area. We don't have 4G where we are, (rural Normandy) but can sometimes get 3G.

If you are in a rural area mobile phone signals can be patchy. If you have neighbours it might be worth asking which service providers have the best coverage in your area.

The other impact of not being entitled to the S1 as a result of working or running a business in France is that all of your pension income will be subject to social charges at a rate of 8%.

For income received in the UK in £, you just need to convert the amount received into Euros using the relevant daily rate provided on the Banque de France website, i.e. the date the income was paid...
