Spot on. UK immigration is much tougher than Canadian. I have been here ten years and the rules are insane. In fact it's mostly set up to ensure you fail. You pay extornate fees (see here)...

They were alone and the Mrs couldn't do much as she was pregnant. I am looking at NB rental properties at the moment with a view of signing contract as soon as I land.

Do I still need to show proof of funds even though the principal applicant is already landed and currently in Canada?

I would assume as there's no income other than the savings in her bank account, then she is not entitled to any benefits. She only landed in Canada this year. Thanks for your response.

To re-phrase the question:

What benefits are you entitled to as a Permanent Resident with a new born baby born in Canada.
At the moment we are not sure if a New PR is entitled to any benefit all...

She got her PR through express entry (skilled worker).
Put to bed means just had a new baby.
What kind of benefits has been told she is eligible to apply for? - child benefit (CCB)

I get what you mean. Am just thinking out loud. When I search for jobs in NB I get only about 10 results and about half are financial sales or customer service.
