Yes I am a tax resident of Canada and very much intends to pay taxes in Canada. The company doesn’t want to get involved with any tax issues and just want to deduct the US taxes as normal.

The person I am asking on behalf is not British. They are from a country where you need visa to enter Canada. I assume looking for a job in Canada will not break the rule.
