Re: RRV clarification

Non-standard RRVs seem to be taking longer and longer at the moment. From comments posted in various places and personal experience 4-5 weeks seems to be the norm at the moment. Department stats at: ...

Re: Spouse visa question - 10 years on

There is never a guarantee, but what you said was incorrect. You said "the only option would be a new spouse visa - expensive". This is not the case as the OP has a pretty good chance of getting an...

Re: Spouse visa question - 10 years on

This is not actually the case. RRVs are available to former permanent residents as well as current ones. The eligibility criteria are basically the same i.e. demonstrating ties, which the OP clearly...

Re: RRV or ETA

Hi - as you haven't been, and won't be, away from Aus for a "continuous period of 5 years" the compelling reasons part doesn't apply to your situation, only the substantial ties part.

It's...

Re: RRV or ETA

What you actually said was "thus removing any chance of holding a future RRV." which is the bit that is not correct and what I was pointing out. I do agree though that it would help to speak to an...

Re: Non Contributory Visa Sub class 804

But according to the OP they have rocked up and are allowed to stay for the 14 years until their visa is decided. So basically it seems that they have a 14 year temporary visa. Sure, they are not...

Re: FA 600 Visa Situation

That's actually not what the visa grant cut and paste the OP put in his post says. The original visa was:
Must not arrive after 25 August 2017
Period of stay 03 months on each arrival

The new...

Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

No problem - it was a bit more complex than that and apologies if I made it seem too simplistic - I've had PR since 1999 (subclass 126!) and have been back and forward to Oz since 1989, well over 30...

Re: Expired (April 2015) Class 175 Visa. Out of options?

I can only tell you my personal experience that I recently got a new one year RRV after being out of the country for 8.5 years. No job offer, no close family ties and no current property, but long...
