there is no such thing that agent can't contact the CO, they are just trying to put you off
Ask them to raise a PLE (PLE will be also routed to CO) and see what is their reply

PCC is the Penal/Police clearance certificate

yes, there would be things which they check with FIA but they certainly do carry out some of their own check too

why would FIA just stall the Australian checks, if it was a problem with FIA than...

I don't believe that the FIA or our Govt is the problem here, the delay is being incurred by checks which are being carried out by DIAC/AHC themselves

but certainly we can use media to put...

and what can be more annoying from the fact that for most cases DIAC has been issuing visas in just 4-6 months for all and sundry who are NOT from Pakistan
