I have launched 175 visa application yesterday as an engineer.
I am in new SOL which is valid currently and so I am in Schedule 3.

I want to know how long can it take? I know processing time may vary from person to person, but still ... Whats your guess?

so dig in your trenches and get ready for a stressful, long bumpy journey

I think you have made slightly mistake if u have wait for SMP then it could be better...because u r occupation in SOL...it means u r occupation in SMP most probably.... so if u have wait then u r case will finalize within short time compared to 175

Frankly, I think if I can get visa in one year, I will be very lucky! May be because I am from Pakistan. And I think that too much time will be wasted on checks and my security clearance.

I am more interested in knowing whether it will be less than 2 years or not?

I thought about that ... but actually my goal is not only to get visa, but to ultimately get a job there and get settled.

And if waiting a bit more will open up more job opportunities for me, I will prefer it.

Because I will be able to work in all over Australia and not just in the state that sponsored me.
