I used to sing in musicals and choirs and concert groups. Learned the violin in secondary school and got to grade3 by the age of 13, but gave it up as I hated the violin teacher who would hit you...

40 years, crikey! The uk will have totally changed since then. I find it odd going back after 7 years - I only go because mum and MIL expect to see us every 2 years.

I can't bring myself to believe that he has died of cancer aged 77. He will be much missed. My 20 year old daughter in Japan just broke the news to me, which shows just how many generations enjoyed...

Happy 'Straya Day- a group of the neighbours got together for lunch and a good time was had by all. Rolled home and had to sort the pool out (after a cup of tea) and OH is stripping (paint).

Temp now 37.8 and still going up. I've just been gardening and bringing the washing in. It is crispy, and I'm melty!! Sitting in front of a fan with a choc ice to cool off. No way is the ironing...

Do you live near me by any chance? Our figures are almost identical -dew point 18. and humidity 36%. Getting in the pool once I've cleaned it before the storms come.
