Agree that AU is expensive but many professionals do well..unless you are talking about middle of the road white collar battler semi-prof former Natwest bank clerks or shop managers.. .I don't see...

My view for many years is that AU is so expensive in terms of the real estate is that simply it is too risky for many migrants.

People need good reasons like nearby family, obsession with surf :-)...
