They should accept it as it as driving licence classes are standard across the EU but I don't personally know anyone who had done it.

That's good to know. There does not seem to be a set charge for the medical as they are all independent clinics.

The new 2009 law you refer to mainly makes changes to the classes of vehicles and the periods of renewal which are now 10 years up to 65 and 5 years thereafter.
