Back in the UK we had our credit card number "skimmed" at a petrol station. The number was used for gambling at an online casino and they ran up a bill of 98 pounds (can't find the sign).

Paid at the pump. Swiped card first, chose credit to get points. I was watching the amount just to see if it charged the right amount per gallon. Final charge $30.68. This shows on the receipt. Shows...

I always check but OH can be a bit vague about exact amounts but I know roughly how much petrol he uses a week. I probably wouldn't have spotted it had we both not used the same garage on the same...
