Bizarre? Hardly! It's a pretty standard greeting in Canada given that Christmas (as a Christian holiday) is irrelevant to a large portion of the population.

No I haven't met willmore but if I'm up at 4:30 am (which is very likely due to jet lag) and I see a short-haired woman jogging past cursing the existence of Mr Cohen I'll grab my camera! :D
