I have driven it from Ashmore to Brissie in approx 1 hours, straight down the GC Highway...... without breaking the speed limit, & have done it many many times......... I agree with you if you look...

Ashmore is about 45 mins - an hour from brissie (towards nsw not the other way) ans Ashmore itself is about 10 min drive from Surfers.....

Ashmore is about 10 mins in the car from the beach - there are some fab markets (crafty stuff) on at the weekends too at Carrarra & Broadbeach.......

I understand what you mean but the suburbs of Southport are lovely and quiet......... what you have descrobed is basically Surfers! There is more to the Gold Coast than Surfers!

Gold Coast - there is a station at Robina that is a stop for the main line to Brisbane. A suburb like Ashmore, Robina, Moledinar, Labrador, Carrarra would be good. He could leave the car at Robina to...
